Peter Würtenberger is the Chief Marketing Officer of Axel Springer, Germany. Previously, he was the Managing Director of Newspaper Group Berlin, which publishes Welt, Welt am Sonntag, and Berliner Morgenpost. Würtenberger served as Chief Executive Officer of Bild.T-Online Berlin and as Managing Director of Yahoo! Germany. He also held managing positions at Bertelsmann Music Group as well as at Schlumberger Oilfield Services, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Hanover, Germany. Würtenberger holds a degree in Business Management from Cologne University and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. As of September 2012, Würtenberger is based in Palo Alto, California, and is conducting a digital research project for Axel Springer.
