Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Privahini Bradoo is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BlueOak. BlueOak builds and runs 'mini-mines' to recycle high value metals from e-waste, much like Nucor did will mini-mills in the steel industry. She represented BlueOak in the Obama Administration's e-waste taskforce discussions. Bradoo has led business development at numerous cleantech start-ups, including LanzaTech & Microvi. Previously, she was a management consultant at BCG and a faculty adviser at Singularity University. She was also the founding Chief Executive Officer of Spark. The initiative, which promotes entrepreneurship in New Zealand, has successfully helped start over 110 companies in the last 12 years. Bradoo holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Auckland, during which she discovered a new gene for brain repair. She was awarded the Fulbright Platinum Scholarship to complete an MBA at Harvard Business School. In 2011, she received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Auckland and won the Harvard Alumni New Venture Award. Bradoo has been named one of “30 Under 30 Top New Zealand Entrepreneurs” and one of New Zealand's “top 10 business influencers”.
