Rebecca D. Onie
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
In 1996, during her sophomore year at Harvard College, Rebecca Onie founded Health Leads with Barry Zuckerman, Chair of Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center. After attending Harvard Law School, where she served as an Editor of the Harvard Law Review and Research Assistant for Laurence Tribe and Lani Guinier, Onie clerked for Diane P. Wood of the US District Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Onie returned to Health Leads as Chief Executive Officer in February 2006. In 2009, she received a MacArthur Fellowship. She is also a US Ashoka Fellow, a Member of the Young Presidents' Organization and the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation External Advisory Council, and a recipient of the John F. Kennedy New Frontier Award and the Do Something Brick Award for Community Leadership.
