Richard M. Powell is the founder and chairman of The RMP Group and Co-Founder of AP Capital Partners private equity firms. Prior to forming APCP in 2003, he worked at Bear Stearns (EM Group) and at UBS. He has consulted to leading conglomerates, governments and NGOs in Latin America and the Caribbean. He serves on the Boards of eServices, VMBS (Jamaica), the ACG Orlando chapter and the 1420 Foundation. Richard is very involved with the Harvard Alumni Association and Andover Alumni Council. He is a member of YPO, CUP and TiE, and has been recognized as a rising star of global finance. Powell has spoken at Harvard, MIT and other venues. He was named one of the Orlando Business Journal's "40 under 40" leaders to watch and is a 2011 M&A Advisor 40 under 40 award recipient. He is a graduate of Harvard University and has completed coursework at MIT and Harvard Business School. He enjoys travel, and has represented Jamaica in soccer, tennis and track and field.
