Chief Executive Officer
Rodrigo Brito is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aliança Empreendedora (Entrepreneurs Alliance), a Brazilian holding of non-profit and social business organizations that works for promoting and supporting low-income micro-entrepreneurs in Latin America. The company provides a platform that promotes social and economic inclusion and development, offering access to knowledge, investments and markets, which are the main barriers and difficulties faced by low-income entrepreneurs. Founded in 2005, Aliança Empreendedora has supported more than 8,000 micro-entrepreneurs in 15 Brazilian states. Since 2008, Aliança has been developing and implementing inclusive business models and strategies in partnership with such companies as Wal Mart, Natura, Danone, Gerdau and Santander, generating benefits for all stakeholders and scaling impact on supporting micro-entrepreneurs in several sectors. For this work, Brito became an Ashoka Fellow in 2007 and also been recognized as Leader-Partner of the AVINA Foundation in 2004.
