Sam Goldman is the Founder and Chief Customer Officer of d.light design, a five-year-old social enterprise dedicated to improving the quality of life for the 2 billion people globally living without electricity. With offices in the United States, Hong Kong, China, India and Kenya, and a presence in 40 countries, d.light has improved the lives of over 6 million people. Prior to d.light, Goldman founded and managed ventures in Africa and India, including improved agriculture and construction businesses, an agricultural training centre and a for-profit NGO that cultivated the ?miracle tree? Moringa oleifra for clinics. He also distributed low-cost latrines, cooking stoves and rainwater catchment cisterns in rural Africa. Goldman has degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria in Canada and earned an MBA from Stanford University in the United States.
