Scott Brison is a Canadian Member of Parliament. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the House of Commons Finance Committee and the Liberal's Shadow Minister for Finance. He is also a Member of the Trilateral Commission. Brison previously served as Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Receiver General of Canada from 2004 to 2006, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister with special emphasis on Canada-U.S. relations. He also has had extensive private sector experience, ranging from business start-ups and US market development to serving as Vice-President of a Canadian investment bank. He currently serves as the Chairman of SeaFort Capital. Brison received Colombia's Order of San Carlos in recognition of his contributions to Canada-Colombia relations as the Shadow Minister for International Trade. He has a Bachelor's of Commerce degree in Finance from Dalhousie University and completed the Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century Executive Education programme at Harvard University.
