Simon Power is the Head of Westpac Private Bank New Zealand. From 2008 to 2011, he was Minister of Justice, Commerce, Consumer Affairs, State-Owned Enterprises and Associate Minister of Finance in the Government of New Zealand; he was ranked fourth in the government cabinet. Previously he chaired the New Zealand Parliament's Privileges Committee (2005-2008) and was Opposition Chief Whip (2004 and 2005). Power holds Bachelor degrees in Arts and Law from Victoria University. He also attended the Australian Graduate School of Management, Melbourne Business School and Harvard University. He is a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Management and the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
