Began career in management consulting based in Budapest during transition from command to market-based economic principles sweeping through Central and Eastern Europe; mid 1990s, joined the United Nations; later with the OSCE, Oxfam GB and the EU; worked on assignments in the Balkans, Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East and South America. Concurrently, Lecturer in Microeconomics of Competitiveness, Hungary.
