Tan Yinglan is a Venture Partner with Sequoia Capital. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital, he was Head of Projects at the National Research Foundation in the Prime Minister's Office of Singapore where he was responsible for high-tech venture capital investments in Asia. Tan is a faculty member at INSEAD where he developed and teaches an elective MBA course on entrepreneurship, and has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University. He also serves as Board Member of Hwa Chong International School and Rotary Club (Pandan Valley). Tan is the author of two international bestsellers (“The Way of the VC” and “Chinnovation”) and a textbook (“New Venture Creation - An Asian Perspective”). He holds an MSc from Stanford University and two BAs from Carnegie Mellon University.
