Ted Halstead is an author, civic leader, business entrepreneur and sailor. He has published two books and numerous articles in The New York Times, Financial Times, Washington Post and Harvard Business Review. Halstead founded two leading public policy institutes, including the New America Foundation, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer from 1998 to 2007, and remains on the Board. New America is widely recognized as one of most influential and innovative think tanks in Washington. In 2008, Halstead and his wife set sail around the world on a 50-foot catamaran; their four-year circumnavigation took them to six continents. Next, Halstead founded Seven Seas Wealth Management, a boutique investment management company, where he serves as Chief Executive Officer. He is also Founder and Managing Director of CR Realty, an eco-luxury development project in Costa Rica. Halstead graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dartmouth College and received a Master's in Public Affairs from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, where he was a Montgomery Fellow.
