Leadership enabled YCAB to rank 74 of 100 in the Global Journal's Top World NGOs (2013). Veronica Colondam has impacted the lives of more than two million people as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the YCAB Foundation, a Jakarta-based NGO that focuses on youth development through sustainable social investment. The Foundation has spawned the YCAB Social Enterprise, with three companies, one cooperative and a non-profit. Under her leadership, YCAB ranked 74 out of 100 in the Global Journal's Top World NGOs (2013). She is also the recipient of the UN-Vienna Civil Society Award (2001), Asian of the Year (2009), Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year (2011) and a Schwab Social Entrepreneur (2012). Colondam is the author of several books on youth development and risk behaviour. She has a BA in Mass Communications and PR, and an MSc from Imperial College and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Diseases. She trained in social entrepreneurship at INSEAD and completed the Education and Global Leadership course at Harvard's Kennedy School. She is also an alumnus of the Impact Investment Program at the SAID Business School.
