Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Veronica Colondam is the Founder/CEO of YCAB Foundation, a social enterprise established in 1999 that aims to provide hope and opportunity to underprivileged youth through educational provisions and welfare creation. To date, YCAB has impacted the lives of more than 2.7 million youth and aspired to double its impact to five million people by 2020. Veronica has lead an initiative for NGO in Indonesia to be the first to achieve Certification of ISO9001:2008 in quality management. In 2014, she has received Indonesian Woman of Change Award given by the government of the United States for all her work as the founder of YCAB Foundation. To date, she remains the youngest recipient of he United Nation Award for Civil Society, 2001. She has received many international media awards such as: Progressive Figures Award by Forbes and Samsung Indonesia in 2014, 48 Asian Philanthropist by Forbes Asia in June 2014, and Asian of the Year by Channel News Asia, 2009. She was also named by Forbes as 10 Most Inspiring Women in Indonesia. Veronica is also an active speaker globally on themes of youth development, women empowerment and sustainable education. She has authored two books and an active advocate for Social Entrepreneurship policy in Indonesia. Sits in international board of Microsoft Youth Council, INSEAD's Social Entrepreneurship and CocaCola Advisory Board. Through her leadership, in 2015, YCAB ranks 63 in the Top 500 NGO by the Global Journal, Geneva. YCAB Foundation is also one of the few NGO in Asia to receive the UN-ECOSOC Consultative Status. She holds MSc in Social Science from Imperial College London and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Disease. Also an alumnus of HKS's program of Global Leadership, INSEAD's Social Entrepreneuship program and Oxford Said School in Impact Investing. Lives in Jakarta with her husband and three teens.
