Werner Wutscher was born in May 1968, Carinthia and is expert for sustainability issues. Actually he is member of the Board of resPACT, the Austrian Business Council for Sustainable Development and working as an consultant and business angel for sustainability and change management. He was COO and Member of the Executive Board of Rewe International from May 2007 to May 2011. After working at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce while studying at university, he started his career at the office of the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry in 1994. One year later, he was appointed head of the cabinet of Federal Minister Wilhelm Molterer. In 1999, he held the office of Secretary-General and was given responsibility for corporate governance at Agrana Beteiligungs-AG. In 2000, he returned to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management as Secretary-General. As Member of the Board of Rewe International, he is responsible for the areas of Strategy, Finance, Sustainability, Logistics and Transport, Human Resources and Human Resources Development, Real Estate and Expansion, IT, Public Affairs and Legal, as well as the organic brand Ja! Nat?rlich, and the Wegenstein winemaking busi ness at Rewe International. Wutscher obtained a law degree from Karl-Franzens University in Graz and also holds a Master's degree from Harvard Kennedy School.
