I am very excited to announce the launch today of the End Corruption Now! Facebook Community Page. This page is a partnership between the United Nations Global Compact, Transparency International and the World Economic Forum Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) to encourage more active, global participation in the fight against corruption.
Over the course of the coming weeks and months, our three organizations will jointly provide unbiased, non-branded information about the nature and magnitude of corruption and its damaging effects on society.
In launching this page, we want to send a strong message to the world at large that corruption is not just a matter for a few business people and public officials to be concerned about, but rather an issue that affects people at all levels of society like you and me – and that it is an issue that the wider public cares about.
To that end, please become a fan of the page now! This is your free pass to be on Facebook during work hours and to show that you have had enough of corruption.
So we can send a strong message to leaders of business, government and civil society on International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December 2010, please help us reach our goal of 5,000 fans by joining the page today and passing it along to your friends.
