The top 10 winners of the AMNC 12 / Youku video contest were invited by Forum:Blog to write about the issues that matter to them for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions.

Producing a short video in an effort to participate in the Davos Debates at the Annual Meeting of the New Champions was the most significant activity my brother and I took part in over the summer. As post-1990s teenagers, we have just started the journey to achieve our dreams for the future. As one of our first steps, we made a short video that includes a vision of the future of the whole population as well as our own dreams. The 3D suspension computer screens in the video represent our aspirations for intelligent life in the future as we believe it should be.

The theme of the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2012 was “Creating the Future Economy”. In this grand topic, we can see youth’s power to reshape business models. In China, the young people seldom watch television; instead, they video-surf on Youku, Tudou and other websites. The Internet is not just a digital space; it becomes a virtual thinking space and a commercial world. It not only promotes the new pattern of the world economy, but also deconstructs and reconstructs the pattern. The key to its functioning is our values.

So, try to comprehend the values of young people, and use the Internet well. The main trend of the future economy is in your hands.
