This radio station is a lifeline for humiliated textile workers in India

Workers produce bras for export at the Intimate Fashions factory in Kanchipuram district, 30 km (18 miles) south of the India's southern city of Chennai, May 22, 2012. For conservative India's rural women, a project giving them jobs in the manufacturing sector is not just an end to poverty, but brings empowerment and respect in this deeply patriarchal society. Intimate Fashions - which produces bras for Victoria's Secret and the La Senza brand - is one of thousands of firms that have set up in Tamil Nadu's Kanchipuram district in recent years.
