Advanced Manufacturing

Recent world events have presented enormous challenges, but also an imperative for manufacturing and supply chain leaders to reshape operations for a new era. To better understand and identify solutions for the future, the Global Lighthouse Network, a World Economic Forum project in collaboration with McKinsey & Company, is gathering leaders from its exclusive group of advanced manufacturers. They will be joined by C-suite and senior executives from the manufacturing and industrial community on 17-18 September for the Network’s first Annual Meeting.

Global change is needed for industries and communities, for environmental sustainability, and to drive economies. Manufacturing is a great place for this transformation to start, and we are working with manufacturing leaders to raise awareness and multiply the commitment on a global industrial level. It is our intent to kickstart the conversation around how to anticipate and pilot the Great Reset in industrial operations and shape the “next normal” in manufacturing.

This is a unique opportunity for executives to show leadership in driving this transformation at a global level. The agenda will include live sessions from the Lighthouse shop floors, a ceremony to recognize and present the new designated Lighthouses and panel discussions between CEOs.

The livestreamed session will take place on 17 September 2020 at 13:00 - 14.30 (CEST) and will be streamed where the current header image is placed. It will feature:
