As world leaders emerge from COVID to meet at the United Nations in New York for the first in-person General Assembly in two years, leaders from business, government and civil society are meeting in a parallel summit to discuss how humans can co-exist with a healthy planet.

Some 200 CEOs will be among the people taking part in the Sustainable Development Impact Summit between 20 and 23 of September, just weeks ahead of the crucial COP26 climate summit.

On this episode of Radio Davos, Borge Brende, president of the World Economic Forum, tells us how SDIS21 will be a curtain-raiser for COP26, and we hear from African journalist Ciku Kimeria on why we mustn’t forget development while we strive for sustainability.
