Formerly: with the United Nations Development Programme, first in Indonesia and then as Chief of Staff, UNDP Headquarters; led country operations, UNFPA, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. 2007-09, led the Danish Government’s humanitarian and civil society work, Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs; then Ambassador and Undersecretary for Management, Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs; then UN Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Executive Director for Management, UN Population Fund (UNFPA). Since September 2015, Chief Executive Officer, Plan International, an independent child rights organization working in over 70 countries across the globe.
