Your DNA could become the next cryptocurrency
New blockchain-based marketplaces could give individuals control over access to their encrypted DNA data, and the ability to sell it to research companies for their own profit.
Dr Curtis is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Queensland, and at Griffith University. She is a molecular biologist, interested in applying molecular tools (usually DNA sequencing), in combination with ecological studies and historical records, to gain new insights into ecology and archaeology.
