Jeff Hayden is Editor in Chief of Finance & Development magazine and of the IMF Survey News report.  He manages an IMF team that crafts articles, videos, podcasts and other digital content on the global economy and the IMF.  Prior to his Editor-in-Chief role, Jeff ran the IMF’s website for six years.  He has extensive experience in communications — including newspaper journalism, book publishing, internal (corporate) communications, social media, and media relations; a passion for working with a diverse global audience, and a commitment to making complex, technical economic issues accessible to a broad public audience.

He earned degrees from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and from The American University in Washington, D.C.
