Masao Takahashi

Head of Institutional Membership; Member of Executive Committee, World Economic Forum

Masao Takahashi is the Head of Forum Members and the Member of the Executive Committee. His responsibilities include: Responsible for the design and operation of Forum Members global program (the community of 400 foremost emerging business leaders around the world).
Prior to the current role, he served multiple Forum's leadership positions including Business Engagement/ Japan, Membership/ Asia (South-East Asia, South Asia, and Japan), and Technology Pioneers. He was also a Global Leadership Fellow at the World Economic Forum. Before joining the Forum, He was a Chief Consultant of Nomura Research Institute: leading thinktank in Japan. He has track records on corporate strategy, change management, policy reform (deregulation, privatization), public-private partnership (PPP), CSR.
Masao holds a Bilingual MBA from IESE Business School, Spain and a Master of Engineering (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) from Yokohama National University, Japan. He also studied at Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, Brazil as part of exchange research program.
