Namgay champions climate action and breaking barriers to youth participation in decision making as a foreign service officer, currently working with the Desuung Skilling Programme, a national initiative to upskill over 20, 000 individuals in the country by 2031. As a Global Shaper and Climate Reality Leader, Namgay has engaged over 400 Bhutanese youth in climate literacy. She is also a UN Women Asia-Pacific 30 for 2030 advocate. Namgay aspires to understand how global goals can be translated into transformative local action by widening the scope of conversations and action at the grassroots levels.
