Currently Chief Economist at the CBI, representing British business focusing on the UK economic outlook and global risks. Current research includes how to increase prosperity and productivity across all regions in the UK, intergenerational inequality, and business priorities during EU negotiations. Previously Head of Emerging Markets at Oxford Economics with a focus on China and global trade flows. Nine years with Bank of England working for the Monetary Policy Committee and on Financial Stability including 2004-06, seconded to the International Monetary Fund, Washington DC. Active member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders, nominated in 2012. Co-Chair of the WEF's Young Global Leader Taskforce on the Circular Economy. Member of the LSE's Centre for Economic Performance's Policy Committee. Council Member of the Royal Economic Society. Advocate for more diversity in economics.
