Sandhya Venkatachalam is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and investor with a passion for building new businesses. She is a General Partner at Social Capital, an investment firm focused on solving the world's hardest problems through the use of technology. Prior, Sandhya was the cofounder and General Partner at Centerview Capital, a leading late stage venture firm. Prior, Sandhya was Vice-President and Head of Monetization for Skype where she built a new B2B business from pre-revenue to more than $75 million in 18 months and facilitated Skype's sale to Microsoft for $8.5 billion. Before Skype, Venkatachalam was Head of Cisco's Corporate Development group focused on collaboration, SaaS and mobile. She also helped triple Cisco's collaboration business through such multi-billion dollar acquisitions as Tandberg and Webex and investments such as Vocera, RingCentral and Xobni (acquired by Yahoo). Venkatachalam was an early business executive at Andiamo Systems, a leading data centre start-up that was acquired by Cisco for $750 million. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School and a BA in Economics (magna cum laude) from Harvard.
