Stefan Dunatov

Chief Strategist, Abu Dhabi Investment Council

Stefan is head of investment strategy and investment risk at BCI, which has USD140bn in assets under management for various pension and insurance funds. He is an external member of the investment committee of the Wellcome Trust, a global medical charity based in London with assets in excess of USD30bn. He also sits on the Board of QuadReal, a global real estate asset manager, and is an adviser and investor in SeriesX/Vertalo, a digital token platform. Previously he was Chief Investment Officer at Coal Pension Investments (a USD30bn fund) and prior to that has also worked at Deutsche Asset Management, Equitas Ltd (a Lloyd's Reinsurance company), HSBC and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

Stefan has degrees in law and economics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and a Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Stefan is also Chair of the 300 Club, a group of investment professionals who publish discussion papers aimed at improving investment governance and strategy.
