Yishan Wong founded Terraformation in 2020 with a vision to bring Silicon Valley’s expertise in rapid scaling to the climate movement.
Yishan previously served as CEO of Reddit and Director of Engineering at Facebook, and was part of the engineering team that led to the exponential growth of Paypal.
Terraformation’s mission is to rapidly scale native forest restoration projects around the world to capture carbon and reverse the impacts of climate change. In 2022, the company launched the world’s first biodiversity-focused and carbon-funded forest accelerator program, providing forestry teams around the world with wraparound support to launch and scale premium quality forest restoration carbon projects. It will announce the launch of its first cohort in early 2023.
