Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Watch video

Covering the most pressing technology areas of artificial intelligence, autonomous mobility, blockchain, drones, internet of things and precision medicine, Global Fourth Industrial Revolution councils bring together more than 200 leaders from the public and private sectors, civil society and academia from around the world. They are the foremost international platform to shape the governance of advanced technologies in the global public interest.

Councils will help policy-makers and businesses strike the right balance between enabling emerging technologies and proactively mitigating the social risks that can result. They will share policy and regulatory experience to amplify and scale pilot projects currently in place around the world, identify the governance gaps that need to be urgently addressed and provide strategic guidance to the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network portfolios.

Each council is co-chaired by representatives from the public and private sectors. With over 200 members from almost 30 countries, members bring diverse opinions and experiences to the table. Members are senior executive-level representatives from the private sector, government, international organizations and civil society institutions, and select experts from academia in the relevant fields.
