The scale and pace of the ongoing energy transition will be affected by the actions taken by business and governments in response to the COVID-19 health and economic shocks. The Global Future Council on Energy Transition will provide a vision for the transition to a more sustainable, inclusive and affordable post-COVID world. It will convene thought leaders from the energy and finance industries, academia and civil society to provide a perspective on progress, identify barriers to the energy transition in both developing and developed regions, and seek to build consensus and incubate policy measures that could accelerate the transition.
