Global Future Council on the Future of Net Zero Living

Council mission and objectives

Demand-side mitigation can reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 40-70% by 2050 according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Institution-led action is critical in catalyzing a large-scale and durable systems transition towards sustainable living. During the 2023-2024 term, the GFC on Net Zero Living will advance strategies by which public and private sector organizations can drive a transformation in social norms to engage and empower people as agents of change.
