The World Economic Forum’s COVID Action Platform has highlighted the need for high impact, targeted and innovative solutions to address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), 500 Startups, Khemka Foundation, Top Tier Impact, and Webit, the Forum has launched a series of COVID-related challenges via its new digital platform, UpLink, to crowdsource, surface and scale high-potential solutions and innovations from all over the world.
From June to September, UpLink will run the COVID challenges and work with its network of impact leaders, investors and experts to find the world’s most innovative responses and solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID challenges are focused on 3 categories:
- Prevention & Detection
- Responding & Delivering during the crisis
- Recovering & Rebuilding to build a more sustainable and inclusive post-pandemic society
We welcome you to submit or recommend solutions to any of the challenges, and to view or be connected to this diverse ecosystem of innovation, outside traditional networks.
By September 2020, we will select 15 of the most innovative solutions to gain access to a three-month support track that includes facilitated introductions to partner organizations, investors, mentors and media, various hubs of activity and programming, and curated support from the UpLink community to ensure they are best-positioned to succeed and scale up.
If you or someone in your network would like to participate, take action on UpLink! or contact a member of the team at firstname.lastname@example.org
