Ghana joins GPAP as first African member
October 1, 2019 | Accra, Ghana
Ghana will officially become the second country in the world to join GPAP, the flagship initiative created by a coalition of influential public and private leaders to fast-track plastic pollution action around the world, and hosted at the World Economic Forum. The Ghana National Plastic Action Partnership, or NPAP, will be launched by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, who will also deliver the keynote address.
NPAP will be launched in close coordination with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)’s ‘Waste’ Recovery Platform, which will promote sustainable waste recovery in Ghana through connecting stakeholders across the waste management value chain.
