We are writing to inform you that the World Economic Forum has decided to postpone the 2021 Annual Meeting, which was scheduled to take place in Davos, Switzerland, until early summer next year.
This was a difficult decision, given the urgent need for world leaders to come together and design a shared path to recovery, and to shape the “Great Reset” in the post-COVID era. However, based on expert advice, we determined that it would be difficult to hold the meeting safely in January 2021.
During the week of January 25, 2021, we will hold a high-level digital “Davos Dialogues,” where leading world leaders will exchange views on the state of the world in 2021.
We will share details about the dates and location of the 2021 Annual Meeting as soon as we have confirmed that all conditions are in place to ensure the safety and health of participants and the host community.
The World Economic Forum will continue working with its partners and members to address the challenges facing the global, regional and business communities.
Since February, in response to the outbreak of the pandemic, approximately 1,200 members from business, government and civil society have joined the Forum’s COVID Action Platform. At the Sustainable Development Impact Summit in September, we will focus on the core principles of the “Great Reset” and ask how we can contribute to creating a more sustainable and inclusive future.
