African Academy of Sciences

The African Academy of Sciences is a pan-African organization headquartered in Kenya that aims to drive sustainable development in Africa through science, technology and innovation. Its Alliance for Accelerating Excellence in Science in Africa (AESA) focuses on people, places and programmes in Africa to accelerate world-class research, foster innovation and promote scientific leadership. AESA also functions as a think tank, setting, aligning and ensuring an Africa-led, Africa-centred and Africa-relevant science and technology agenda on the continent.
