Alrosa is a leading Russian group of diamond mining companies and has one of the largest rough diamond reserves in the world. Its key areas of activity are deposit exploration, mining, processing and sales of rough diamonds. Its core activities are concentrated in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Arkhangelsk Region. The rough diamond segment accounts for about 90% of total group revenue. In 2015, Alrosa produced 38.3 million carats of rough diamonds; 2015 revenue was RUB224.5 billion.
