Center for American Progress

The Center for American Progress is a top US liberal, non-partisan policy institute and think tank that is dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans through progressive ideas, strong leadership and concerted action. It addresses 21st-century challenges such as energy, national security, economic growth and opportunity, immigration, education and healthcare. It was founded in 2003 and is based in Washington DC. It opened a Los Angeles office in 2007. In 2021, Politico described CAP as "the most influential think tank of the Biden era”. The Center for American Progress has a youth-engagement organization, Generation Progress, and a sister advocacy organization, the Center for American Progress Action Fund (CAPAF).
