China Energy has CNY1.8 trillion in assets and a staff of 350,000 employees. As of the end of 2017, its coal production capacity reached 480 million tonnes and total installed capacity for power hit 226 GW, including 175 GW from thermal power, accounting for around 15% of the national total. It is capable of turning millions of tonnes of coal directly and indirectly into liquid fuels. The company operates a network of railways with a total length of 2,155 kilometres, 62 ships and ports with a designed handling capacity of 247 million tonnes.
