Global Innovation Fund

The Global Innovation Fund (GIF) invests in social innovations that aim to improve the lives and opportunities of millions of people in the developing world. Through its grants and risk capital, GIF supports breakthrough solutions to global development challenges from social enterprises, for-profit firms, non-profit organizations, international organizations, researchers, and government agencies. GIF is non-profit innovation fund headquartered in London. It is supported by the UK Department for International Development, USAID, the Omidyar Network, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and Australia’s Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade. They have pledged $200 million over the next five years.
