Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) is a government-funded multidisciplinary research institute established in 1966 and based in Seoul, South Korea. As the country’s first comprehensive science and technology institute, KIST has played a pivotal role in advancing Korea’s industrial and innovation capacity. It conducts foundational and applied research across fields including quantum and semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, energy, materials, and biomedical science.
