Manufacturing units are involved in the manufacture of edible oils, soaps, cereal flours, cotton textiles, sisal textiles, beverages, bicycles and packing materials. With a presence in Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Dubai and Mozambique, it has 24,000 employees. It has an annual turnover of $1.3 billion and contributes 3.5% of the country's GDP.
