The Luksic Group is a business conglomerate in Chile. Founded in the early 1950s in Antofagasta, its original activities were related to the copper mining industry. Since then, the group has expanded into the mining, financial, beverage and food, manufacturing, energy, transport, port and shipping services, railway and tourism industries. It is active in Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Brazil. In 1996, the group reorganized its ownership structure so that all the financial and industrial investments were placed under control of Quiñenco, while the mining and railway investments were to be controlled by Antofagasta, simplifying control within the Luksic Group.
