SOS Carbon

SOS Carbon is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) spin-off organization. The team started the R&D in 2018 and after successful development made a spin-off in mid-2020. The team MIT + SOS Carbon have more than 150 years' combined experience in R&D, innovation, engineering, business development, developing countries, launching new technologies. The team developed two first of its kind technologies for sargassum management and ClimateTech to fight climate change harnessing the oceans and sargassum. Since 2021, SOS has been working with the major tourism groups, providing environmental sanitation services with a team of supervisors and local artisan fishermen.
