Basetsana Kumalo is Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Basetsana Woman Investment Holdings. Prior, she was a Director of Uzalile Investments, Director of Travel with Flair, Non-Executive Director of Tawana Resources, Executive Chairperson of Tswelopele Productions, Chairperson of PHAB Property Holdings and Director of Leungo Investments. Kumalo sits on various boards, including: Lovelife, South Africa's largest national HIV prevention organization; Director and Vice-Chairman of The Nelson Mandela Institute for Education and Rural Development; and Director for Unipalm Holdings. She has also been a spokesperson for the Pampers UNICEF Tetanus campaign and Brand Ambassador for numerous South African companies. Kumalo is a former Miss South Africa and first runner-up in the Miss World Pageant, and former President of the Business Women's Association of South Africa. Together with her husband, she established the Romeo & Basetsana Kumalo Family Foundation, focusing on the development of children, especially HIV/AIDS orphans. Kumalo received a BA from Unisa, an Executive Education Diploma in Global Leadership from Harvard University and Marketing Diploma from Damelin.
