Chief Representative, ClientEarth in China, and member of chief advisors group of China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED). Dimitri works with the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Supreme People’s Court, Supreme People’s Procuratorate, and State Council. Formerly: Team Leader of EU – China Environmental Governance Programme, an EU-funded cooperation programme embedded in China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection; Team Leader, EU Programmes, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, China. Has cooperated with Chinese central and local-level government counterparts since 2003. Has led many successful and innovative new projects centred on environmental protection, energy and climate change; has contributed to a series of World Bank lending projects and policy recommendations. Vice-Chairman of the Board, China Carbon Forum. Co-founded the ClientEarth China Representative Office, the first European NGO to be formally registered under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. 2000, MBA (Hons), Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom; 2003, diploma in Mandarin Chinese, EU – China Managers Training Programme, Beijing Foreign Studies University and Beijing Language and Culture University; 2009-11, graduate courses in advanced macro-economics, Peking University.
