Eman Akbar Rafay

As the Chairperson for ‘Global Dignity Day’ (Oman), Eman has a passion for innovation in social development. She is a member of the national committee for ‘Closing the skills gap’, and specialises in education, employment, and gender issues. Currently engaged with teams delivering pro-growth PPP initiatives to strengthen the Sultanates competitiveness, at the Think Tank Unit in the Diwan of Royal Court. Eman has led and supported the establishment of several national initiatives such as; founding the 'Omani Women's' awareness campaign, with the Minister of Social Development, co-founded and implemented the National CEO Program at the Diwan of Royal Cout and as head of PR, established the successful launch of the regions first, Royal Opera House in Muscat. Having worked with international charities such as Oxfam & The Centre for Social Justice, in 2017 Eman was selected to represent Oman in UNESCO's' 'Education for Sustainable Development' programme as a Young Arab Youth. And as a Global Shaper, she founded ‘OmanVolunteers’, Oman’s first online volunteer matching platform. Eman holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Social Policy from the University of York, UK, and has completed executive programs at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and at Harvard Business School.
