Head of Climate and Environment, National Physical Laboratory (NPL)

Jane leads the Climate, Environment and Energy work at the National Physical Laboratory. Her team of ~150 scientists and engineers deliver research and commercial work on emissions measurement, air pollution, climate monitoring from satellites, performance verification of low carbon technologies and sensors. The lab also supports the development of next generation renewables and their integration into the electricity grid. Jane is a Trustee of the campaigning NGO Sandbag, a board member of the Natural Environment Research Council’s London Doctoral Training Programme, and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. Her awards include being named one of the ‘40 under 40 European Young Leaders’ by Friends of Europe and one of the ‘Ten Outstanding Young People of the Year’ by the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
