Been active in the trade industry since 1995 getting started in the US Legislative, Executive and State Government before moving to the private sector in 2003. Began the private sector journey in the Wine Industry learning the complexity of wine supply chain throughout the world including composition requirements, labeling and standards of identity. Moved to Cargill in 2011 as the North America Regional Lead. Pushed the envelope on customs regulatory management for Cargill and created the position of Director of Global Customs Regulatory Affairs. Appointed to the 15th term of the Commercial Operations Advisory Committee to US Customs and Border Protection & US Treasury holding the position of co-chair for the Subcommittee on Intelligent Enforcement and the Working Group on Export Modernization. Other organization activity includes Organization for Women in International Trade, International Compliance Professionals Association, American Association of Exporters and Importers and numerous others. A Licensed US Customs Broker since 2009, also holding an International Food Law Certification from Michigan State University as well as a B.A. in International Public Policy from James Madison College at Michigan State University. Lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA with her husband and two sons. Generally, weekends and any free time are spent cheering or driving for the boys in lacrosse, hockey and American football.
