1984, Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics, Shanghai Jiaotong University; 1987, Master's and 1991, Doctorate in Systems Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology. 1994, Postdoctoral Researcher, Systems Engineering Institute, Shanghai Jiaotong University. 1993, started professional career with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), including positions such as Executive Vice-President, ICBC Asia. 2001, joined Shenhua Group as Executive Vice-President; worked successively as President and Chief Executive Officer, China Shenhua Energy Co. and President and Chief Executive Officer, Shenhua Group; 2005 and 2007, led the IPO of China Shenhua Energy Co. on the Hong Kong Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange respectively. Currently, President and Chief Executive Officer, China Energy, established in 2017 following the merger of Shenhua Group and China Guodian Corporation, China's top coal miner and one of the China's largest power producers respectively. As the world’s largest producer of coal, electric power, wind energy and coal-to-chemical products, China Energy is also a green energy driven and innovation-oriented energy corporation. With total assets of $260 billion, it ranks 101st in the Fortune Global 500 in 2018 with $75.52 billion in sales revenue. Chairman, China Hydrogen Alliance.
