Luis Arbulu is the CEO and co-founder of Xertica Labs, the leading technology and cloud services provider in the region. Previously, Mr. Arbulu was a managing director for technology investments at Samsung’s Open Innovation Center, and founder and managing partner of Hattery, an early stage VC and incubator based in San Francisco. Previously, Mr. Arbulu held a number of senior roles at Google, including leading the investments practice at Google.org, managing a large portfolio in energy, emerging web and big data. Previously, Mr. Arbulu was a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and head of engineering at a start-up. He has also served as Entrepreneur in Residence with the US Department of Homeland Security and served in the board of the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the US. He studied engineering at the University of Kansas and the Universidad Catolica in Peru, and has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
