Mark Gorenberg

Chair, MIT Corporation, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Mark Gorenberg is the Founder and Managing Director of Zetta Venture Partners, the first early-stage venture capital firm dedicated to Artificial Intelligence for the enterprise. Zetta started in 2013 and has offices in both San Francisco and New York City. Mark has over 30 years of venture capital experience, funding and serving on the boards of numerous successful startups and public companies. Prior to his career in venture capital, Mark served as a software executive, entrepreneur, and a member of the original SparcStation team at Sun Microsystems.

Mark is currently the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Corporation. In 2011, he was appointed by President Barack Obama to the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, a 21-person advisory group of the nation’s leading scientists and engineers. Mark graduated from MIT with a BSEE and received an MSEE degree from the University of Minnesota and an MSEM degree from Stanford University.
